Our story
It started with hardwood.
It still does.
A small team, a stack of hardwood, and a reputation to build one floor at a time.
There is real satisfaction in sanding a forty-year-old parquet floor back to bare timber and watching the grain come up like new.
Impi Teak began the way most good timber businesses do. Twenty years on, the work runs from a single bedroom to full commercial fit-outs.
Rooted in hardwood. Rhodesian teak, kiaat, balau, garapa and oak — timbers that end up in buildings meant to look good for decades rather than seasons. The same instinct is why we keep reclaimed parquet in the workshop: old blocks have already proved they last.
Restoration first. Given the choice between replacing a floor and bringing back the one already there, we would rather bring it back.
